Measuring Guide

Accurate measurements are the foundation of a good cover. Before ordering a custom cover, measure the full object, including handles, shelves, knobs, vents, wheels, and any parts that extend beyond the main body.

General Measuring Rules

  • Measure the widest point for width.
  • Measure from front to back for depth.
  • Measure from the ground or base to the highest point for height.
  • For round products, measure the widest diameter and total height.
  • If the product has an unusual shape, send photos from the front, side, back, and top if possible.

BBQ Grills

  • Measure the full width, including side shelves and handles.
  • Measure the full depth, including front handles, knobs, or rear parts.
  • Measure the height with the lid closed.
  • Note whether the cover should reach the ground or stop above the wheels.

Built-In Grills and Outdoor Kitchens

For built-in units, measure the exposed area that needs protection and mark any counters, raised edges, faucets, side burners, or uneven surfaces.

Fit Allowance

A small allowance is usually needed so the cover can slide on and off smoothly. The right allowance depends on the cover shape, material, and fastening method.
